It happened...

I have lived here for 5 months now and it finally happened! A cockroach in my bathroom!! AHHHHH!!! I got home late from teaching one night and I went to the bathroom to take out my contacts and wash my face. When I lifted up my contact solution, the cockroach came flying out! I screamed, threw my solution and then ran to get my camera so all of you could experience this with me! After I took the pics, I was trying to figure out how to get rid of it. I did not want to step on it because I was barefoot and I did not want to smash it with tissue because I didn't want to feel it on my hands. So, I got a cup covered him up and dragged him to the drain in on the floor in my bathroom. The cup is still over the drain and I am afraid that he is still alive and down there....who knows but at least I got that experience out of the way! :)

Marci's visit!!

My best friend Marci came to visit and we traveled all around Thailand! She arrived on January 7th and we started our adventure on my birthday, the 8th! We woke up very early and took a flight to Phuket, an island in the south of Thailand. It was so much fun! We spent 4 days there! One of my students lives there so she was able to show us around! We got massages on the beach, we went snorkeling, we ate seafood, we drove motorbikes around the island, we canoed, and we relaxed! Oh it was so much fun! After Phuket we flew to Chiang Mai. We went from the south to the north in one day! It was great! In Chiang Mai we went to the Night Bazzar (a night market), we went to a very famous temple and to the royal flower garden, we rode elephants, and went bamboo rafting. It was a short time but it was fun!
We got back on Sunday and went to church! Marci got to meet all my friends and it was so great! Then on Monday night I had a birthday party at my house! It was fun! We sang songs, ate dinner, prayed together, and ate chocolate chip cookies!
It was a blast and I miss her lots already! It was great to have her here! Check out the photos! :)
