View of Bangkok

As a treat from VCC, my mom and I, along with Ann, Lisa, and Kathryn got to eat dinner at the top of Baiyoke Hotel. This hotel is the tallest building in Thailand. The top level is revolving and so I was able to see the whole city from way high up! It was cool! We ate at sunset and then when the sun was down, we went to the top and went around about two times! Wow, it is a beautiful city at night! The pics aren't great but I hope you can get some idea of what it looks like!

Floating Market

The ever famous floating market! There are many places in Bangkok that I have yet to go because of my schedule but I am super glad that I got to go to the floating market! It was so great! My friend Ning, and her fiance Golf, took my mom, Athena, and me last monday! It was a blast! We woke up at 4:45 in the morning and we drove for about 2 hours to get there! It was fantastic! We ate coconut pancakes, drank coconuts, had lots of different fruits, all while we were riding in the boat! Check out the other pictures in the link! I think you will like them!

Taco Night

My mom is famous for her tacos! So, I made her make them for my friends. This was their first introduction to Mexican food and they LOVED it! I mean, how could they not! Mexican food is the greatest! We all came over to my house and ate and then shared about our trip to Cambodia. We talked about what we learned and how we will apply it to our lives now! Oh, the Lord is doing a mighty work here! And I am glad that my mom could be apart of it!
My sister's friend, Athena, came to Bangkok to wait for her Visa to study in Taiwan for 9 months. It was fun to have her here and share the vision with her too! My Thai friends took care of my mom and Athena while I was off at work. Someone's got to work around here, right?!

Worshipping in Cambodia

Worshipping in Cambodia was an amazing experience! There were people from Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and the US! The body of Christ is HUGE and revival is really happening in this part of the world! It is exciting to see it take place! Singing and dancing and praising the Lord was so amazing! Hearing testimony after testimony of the Lord healing and changing lives brings revival to all who hear. It is exciting to be apart of what the Lord is doing in South East Asia!

Faces of Cambodia

These are some of the many faces of the children in Cambodia. By the end of the trip, I had about 6 or 7 children surrounding me at all times! We danced and sang together and I fell in love with them! Their smiles and eyes and their love was a gift from God! The church that we were at is also an orphanage so there were children of all ages around all the time! What a blessing it was to give little gifts to them. I brought hair clips for the girls and pens for the boys! The greatest gift that was exchanged was the gift of a smile and a friendship that does not require any words. It was an amazing trip! Praise the Lord I was able to go!

Thai Dancing

Forget Hip Hop my friends... Thai Dancing is the way to go! Those of you that know me are not surprised at all by the fact that I am Thai Dancing. You know that I throw myself into everything I do and this is part of the culture, so I gave it a try! Oh man were their LONG hours of practice but it all paid off! It was a great time!
After the dance, the Pastor in Cambodia asked me where I was from and I told him Thailand and he said, "You are a Thai who looks like an American!" Oh it was so much fun! I have the dance on video and if I can figure out how to put it online I will! :) You can see more pictures of the dancing in the photo section! Enjoy!!

Cambodia: Monday and Tuesday

Traveling with Tai Church to Cambodia has been the highlight of my experiences here! It was fun to travel with them for so many reasons. Many of them had never been on an airplane before. They were like kids at Disneyland for the first time! The smiles brought a renewed joy and appreciation for travel. We all made it to Cambodia safely!
Once we landed I was whisked away from Tai Church by VCC, my church from California. I spent Monday and Tuesday with VCC and we traveled to Siem Riep and to Angkor Wat. Oh man was it beautiful and amazing! I have uploaded many pictures of the world wonder! Check them out!
Monday and Tuesday were our designated days as tourists and then the conference started on Wednesday. I was returned to Tai Church on Tuesday night. I have to say, I enjoyed my time with VCC but I love my friends from Tai Church and it was good to be back with them! We shared stories of our adventures!

Koh Chang

My mom came and visited me for 3 weeks! I am such a lucky girl! I love spending time with my mom! We had a great time together! We went to an island get away! We went to Koh Chang which stands for Elephant Island! Of course we rode on elephants! My mom had a great time! She rode on the head of the elephant too!
We got to spend time relaxing, sharing, hugging and just being together! It was a precious time! Thanks for coming mom! I loved having you here! I love you!

New Friends

I get to meet new people all the time! This is my newest friend! Her name is Aoom and she actually just moved to Chicago last week to be a Nanny! I just met her one month ago and then she leaves. But we had so much fun together while she was still here! She will get to meet my brother and my sister who live in Chicago! And when I come back to America in August, I will go visit my brother and sister and Aoom too!
I have many pics in the photo section of some fun times! Bangkok is great and I love it here! The people are awesome!

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was so much fun! It was a great day! We had 6 people accept the Lord! Praise the Lord for that! My student, Apple, came to spend the day with us at church! The older generation came and the youngest generation ate all the ice cream! Tai church really knows how to throw a party! There were games and many fun activities! There was a play, some skits, and a proposal! One my closest friends here got engaged that night! I get to be in her wedding! Oh, so much fun! I am having a blast and I hope that you had a Happy Valentine's Day! I hope that you feel the love of the Lord!
